The Brief — Harbor House is a non-profit organization located in the heart of Oakland, CA. This year they are celebrating their 50th Anniversary and we want to create a group of special branding pieces in honor of that. This ask also encompasses graphic work to promote their Golden Banquet Fundraiser on May 21st.
My Role — Responsible for Full Campaign Blow Out: from concepting to executing design assets
The Deliverables — (1) a banner that we can hang out in front of the house all year, (2) a hard copy brochure that we can hand out throughout the year, and (3) an invitation and online promo materials for our spring fundraiser/ 50th Anniversary Celebration on May 21st.
Ideation — When considering all of the existing Harbor House assets, I wanted to make sure that my designs continued to build off that work. After wordsmithing and brainstorming with the client, we landed on a lighthouse as the main icon.
We explored a lot of options of what the lighthouse could look like and how it could be used in different lockups. This lighthouse would be used for three different campaigns, (1) the benefit dinner, "Golden Anniversary Celebration," (2) their online crowdsourcing event, "50 Days of Jubilee" and (3) an open house called "Welcome Home"
Executions — After many design rounds, the Harbor House team and I were able to create some beautiful and consistent print and digital assets to celebrate and commemorate their 50 years of serving the community.
